
This fragrant, sweet and spicy chutney is delicious served with curry, cold meats and matured cheddar cheese. It is particularly good accompaniment to any lamb dish.
Add 1 tbs to cheese muffin mix before adding dry ingredients.
Mix with yoghurt or sour cream to serve with savoury muffins.
When cooking lamb shanks, add 1 or 2 tbs of chutney to the onion and garlic mixture before adding wine/stock.
Add to any basic beef or lamb casserole while slow cooking.
Add a spoonful to gravy to accompany meatballs or grilled lamb or pork chops. The chutney will add a fragrant piquancy.
For a delicious glaze for meat loaf, mix 1 cup of tomato sauce, 2 tbs chutney and 1 tbs brown sugar and pour over the meat loaf during last 20 minutes of cooking.
